About Us

Hi, and welcome to Elegant Orisha. I'm Oló Oshun Delio Gonzalez, and alongside my wife, Oní Yemaya Gisela Gonzalez, we are the founders of this small but mighty business that has grown from love, tradition, and devotion.
My journey with beading began with my Iyátobi of Osha, Oló Oshun Alba Pupo—affectionately known as Okan Tomí. She started beading back in 1980 to fill a need in our community when access to religious beading was limited. Her home was always full of life—her godchildren would gather not just to visit, but to help her fulfill orders. It was in her living room, surrounded by laughter and devotion, that I first learned to bead. Her legacy lives on in every piece I create today.
After Okan Tomí’s passing in 1993, life took its course. Years later, when Gisela’s parents became elderly and needed full-time care, she made the choice to leave her career in the private sector to be there for them. In 2010, during this period of change and care, Elegant Orisha was born.
What started as a small endeavor, selling elekés, irdes (identity bracelets), and regalia like maracas and Ja’s for Asojano by word of mouth, slowly began to grow. With the rise of social media, we found a way to reach more people, and our creations started traveling far beyond our local circle.
Today, Elegant Orisha is known not just for the spiritual significance of our products, but for the creativity, quality, and love woven into every item. From custom pieces to fully adorned ceremonial regalia, we pour our hearts into making each product unique and meaningful. Our beading is not just craft—it's a continuation of tradition, a celebration of culture, and a personal expression of honor to our Orishas and ancestors.
We’re still a family-based operation, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Every bead, every stitch, every design tells a story—and we are honored to help you tell yours.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
With gratitude,
Delio & Gisela Gonzalez
